Oak Glen Engagement- Jaime loves Nancy

Sometimes there is no need to say anything. The best things are said with an action.
Nancy and Jaime met 12 years ago at a party. Jamie’s brother was dating Nancy’s friend. Nancy was only 15 and did not have permission to go, but the moment she saw him, she had fallen in love and she knew that all the trouble that she would get into would be worth it. What followed was five months of friendship. Jaime would sit outside her house and talk with her. Finally, Jaime asked her to be his girlfriend. She was literally speechless. So Jaime said, “You don’t have to say anything, but if it’s a yes, you can give me a kiss.” Nancy’s kiss said it all.

Oak Glen Engagement- José and Stephanie

It was a Halloween Party. Stephanie was dressed as Chuckie (yes that would be a evil looking possessed doll) and José had on his Army Uniform. Jose’s friend had noticed Stephanie the moment she had walked in, but she found him a bit arrogant and was relieved when José asked her to Dance. They immediately became friends. It took four dates and a beautiful sunset for them to have their first kiss. José knew he would never kiss another girl again.
He told Stephanie that it was his friend’s birthday and picked her up in a limo. Stephanie did not want to go and thought that a limo was too much for someone’s birthday. Annoyed and upset she got in without make-up. (Half way to the Queen Mary, she asked the limo driver to stop at a Walgreens.) Dinner overlooking a beautiful ocean view for only two people became a little more obvious that it was not a birthday party. Jose dropping to one knee holding a ring asking her a question finally made it clear to her that she was the reason an entire restaurant was staring. She said, “Yes!

Oak Glen Engagement- Guillermo and Roxane

Love always manages to see the truth. You can try to lie, hide, scheme to keep it away, but if it is true, it will show itself shining light on everything that is good and that is meant to be. It will fight the negative forces and leave them in darkness.
Drama and lies…it was high school after all. Roxane was a Junior and Guillermo had already graduated when mutual friends introduced them. They were both attracted to each other, but Roxane’s best friend told her Guillermo did not like her. She told him that he was not her type. In the end, it didn’t matter what they had been told or what they had heard, because they always seemed like they were meant to be together…from that very first conversation.
Roxanne loved that he was a family man. She loved that he was so involved with them. He was perfect. Besides opening the door for her and doing things to make her smile, Guillermo put everyone first before himself.
Guillermo had found the one who understood him. She was the one who made his day better, when all else was terribly wrong. With her, he could be who he was and be loved… and of course…it did not hurt that she was also hot!
Guillermo had a secret park with a view where he would go to think and to get away.  Soon it became their place. It would also be the place where he would ask Roxane to be his forever. She of course said, “Yes!” Love had won.

Oak Glen Engagement- Billy and Julie

Love does not care about time. It doesn’t follow schedules and conventual time frames. It doesn’t care what you look like, what you are wearing or where you are. It finds you and keeps you.
That first blind date was supposed to last a few hours and it ended up lasting all day. Within a few weeks Billy was telling others that he had found the, “One.” Julie knew it too. If their first date was perfect, Billy’s proposal was not picture perfect… At the river, in front of family, at a time when Julie had no make up on, her hair was poofy and she was wearing a sweatpants and a big pink oversized shirt.. Billy proposed. She said, “Yes.” In Billy’s eyes, it was the perfect moment and she was beautiful as always.

Oak Glen Engagement- Adrian and Sonia

A friend asked Sonia what she thought of Adrian. She thought he was cute. The same friend asked Adrian what he thought of Sonia and then told him to call her…. and so the high school romance began. A date to the movies only resulted in lots of laughter, not even a kiss.  But it was on Grad Night, on June 14th, 2007 where Sonia stole Adrian’s heart.  Seven years later on  June 14th, 2014 their forever begins.
