Upland Wedding Photography: Jared loves Alyssa

Jared arrived early as is his usual style. He knew he would have to wait for Alyssa, but it was worth the wait. The woman who he had fallen in love with, was going to be his wife today and her little girl Faith, his daughter.

Alyssa and Faith arrived and Jared hid as his girls took the spotlight. Faith also wore a veil and she loved taking pictures with her mommy.

Alyssa walked down the stairs to Jared and took his hand. He turned to see his beautiful bride. Faith joined in and the three of them looked perfect together. They were a family.

Jared and Alyssa went home to their family and friends and promised to love each other forever.

    Adan Terriquez Quinceañera Dress/ Mili

Mili’s dress was a secret until the very last second. She had even taken her pre-session in another dress. Monarch Butterflies were embroidered on black with gold swirls and crystals and a train of black ruffles when Her dress was made by the same designer that created outfits for Jenny Rivera: Adan Terriquez

Her mom got her dressed and tears fell when Daddy saw her. Her friends cheered as she exited the house.

Mili celebrated Mass with her closest family and her godparents were by her side. Then the celebration began. She danced with her court and her parents. Her last toy was a Teddy Bear. Her surprise gift left her stunned. It was a trip to Disney World!

Will Rodgers State Beach / Surprise Proposal/ Belyn said yes!

Belyn thought she was just going to brunch with Miguel and then a walk on the Santa Monica Pier. They ended up at the beach they loved. As always, they climbed the rocks and looked at the ocean. She had no clue that photographers were capturing them from a distance… waiting. Miguel had orchestrated for weeks with her parents, and his parents that today would be the day, that he would propose to the woman he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

While Belyn sat on a beach blanket, Miguel pulled out a box that had a very special ring in it and asked her to marry him. Belyn said, “Yes!” The man kneeling in front of her was now her fiancé.

Special thanks to Danny and Jackie Salazar from Pictures Are Forever for capturing this proposal for A Story in Time.

Happy Birthday Jesus!/ A Story in Time Photography’s Favorite Assistant

He carries lenses, reflectors, and lights… and the weight of being my husband. He packs the car. Makes sure I have water and he holds on to every ladder I stand on, even when I tell him I’m fine. He is constantly hearing the words, “Stand over there and pretend to be a bride.” He has held crying babies, bouquets and endless wallets, cellular phones and keys that should not show up in pockets. He is the only one on our team that calls me, “Boss,” but only when we are working. And of course, there’s a bit of sarcasm in his voice. He knows we have to take a selfie. He laughs at my jokes and always tell me my pictures are beautiful. I love him. Happy Birthday Jesus!

Rancho Las Fuentes Wedding: Eric loves Natalie

The church doors opened and Eric smiled as Natalie walked down the aisle escorted by both of her parents. Her beautiful long veil trailed behind her. They blessed themselves, gave each other, “a look,” and then laughed. Before family and friends they vowed to love each other forever. They exited the church and beautiful rays of sun came down as if it were a sign from heaven.

The party was at the beautiful Rancho Las Fuentes. Their Wedding Party began the celebration long before grand entrance! Their first dance was epic. Natalie’s little brother Jesse gave a heartfelt speech about the example Natalie and Eric had given so many in the family by being the first college graduates. Every chance they could, they took more pictures with family and friends and so we took those moments to capture more pictures of them.

Sunset began. The fountain and the sky lit up. Natalie and Eric’s first night as husband and wife had begun.

I am a story teller with camera. I love capturing details... your shoes next your bouquet, a close up of your rings, flowers down the aisle. I love capturing emotions...your fiancé's face when he sees you for the first time, your mom biting her lip as she sees your dad walk you down the aisle and you laughing as your Maid of Honor tells the behind the scenes part of your love story. I love capturing amazing moments...your first kiss as husband and wife... Yes, I am a romantic and I am blessed to do what I love. I get to capture the ultimate promise of love... a wedding.

A picture captures a moment in life, a reason to remember, holding the ones we LOVE... FOREVER.. in a Story in Time.
