Los Angeles Arboretum Enagement: Brandon loves Shannon

Shannon stared at the profile. Brandon was extremely handsome, of course, but she liked how upfront he was about what he wanted. So, she messaged him. Her first question on Bumble was, “What’s your favorite thing to cook?” Brandon looked at her profile. For him, online dating could feel like ads, but here was a girl who felt genuine. The ad was not lying. He answered, and so the love story began.

Their first date would be at Top Golf where Shannon would impress him with her excellent golf skills. Not. But she soon realized that she could be herself. And Brandon was so attracted, not just to her beauty, but to her sincerity. “Right off the bat, Shannon seemed smart, she knew what she was looking for, was loved by friends and family, and seemed honest. Of course, it helped that she was beautiful! I knew she was the one rather quickly. Honesty and openness. I knew I could be my true self with her.”

Shannon loved Brandon’s silly sense of humor and of course, his amazing cooking. But he also brought her calm. “I love that he is willing to try new things or experiences because he knows it is something that makes me happy (even if he doesn’t want to do it). I tend to be an overthinker, and he helps to calm my brain and bring reality back into the picture. I can always count on him to be there.”

Brandon knew that she was the one early on. Shannon was beautiful, loving, and determined. “I told her I loved her accidentally, too early some would say, meaning it just came out. It was supposed to just stay in my head , but I blurted it out so easily, and I actually meant it.” There were so many reasons that he was in love and felt loved. “Shannon will leave me cute notes on the white board on the fridge, leave me a coffee cup out after making coffee for us every morning, and she’s always planning out our week’s dinners to eat together. She always asks me how my day was.”

Brandon planned to propose on their first anniversary during a helicopter tour, but the ring was not ready. So Shannon happily took the helicopter ride, but did not land engaged. Brandon tried multiple times to propose, but all his incredible plans were not working out. So finally at their favorite restaurant, as they sat in the same booth that they normally sat at, Brandon asked Shannon to marry him. For all the planning he had done, it would be this quiet, intimate moment just for the two of them. It was perfect. Shannon said, “Yes.”

    California Photographer: Fabulous 40: Jackie

I love it when a bride becomes a friend. A perfect example is Jackie. I captured her wedding in 2014, and she kept hanging out with me, becoming my assistant, then my second photographer. Now she owns, “Pictures are Forever.” She turned 40 and she looks fabulous! I asked her husband to describe her. His words…

“Jackie is special because she has one of those hearts that’s just naturally good. She’s kind without trying, thoughtful in the little moments, and always puts love first. Being around her feels easy and comforting — the kind of person who makes others feel cared for just by being herself.

As a mom, Jackie is amazing. She pours so much love into her child, making sure they feel safe, supported, and endlessly loved. She’s patient, present, and leads with her heart. You can see how much she cares in everything she does.

She’s also a loving wife — supportive, loyal, and full of compassion. Jackie shows up for her family in ways that really matter, and it’s clear that love is at the center of her world.”

They met in middle school and fell in love… which makes them one of the most romantic couples ever, or just complete nerds. I’m going with the first. They are an amazing couple. They are called Mr. and Mrs. South Pointe (behind their backs) because they now both work at the very school they met. I know, but it only gets sweeter. One of their fur babies, Laker, is also South Pointe’s therapy dog.

Janet and Kevin are now parents to an actual human child. Her parents describe Sadie as silly, sassy, and sharp. She loves Disneyland, nature, and dancing… and of course her fur siblings and parents.

Kevin describes Janet as loyal, dependable, and patient. “Janet is an amazing person. She is dependable and loyal, someone everyone can count on without hesitation. Her love of fishing reflects the calm and steady joy she brings into our lives. As a mother, she is devoted and nurturing, giving our daughter Sadie the warmth, guidance, and support only she can provide. Thoughtful in every way, Janet consistently goes out of her way for the people she loves. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love make her genuinely special.”

Janet, who loves her husband, also brags about what a great dad he is. “Kevin is a good dad because he thoroughly enjoys and loves to spend time with Sadie. They go on Disney dates, breakfast dates, etc. He puts his Enneagram 9 aside (hates conflict/peacemaker) to speak up for his daughter.”

Hidden Acres: Lytle Creek: Maternity Session: Vea

Thirteen years ago, Danielle and Sifa got married at a venue named Green Mountain Ranch. A lot has changed since then, including the name, the management, and the owners. What has not changed is the fun couple that got married there. They are still in love and devoted to each other and now they are going to be parents. The decided to their maternity session at the same place they vowed to love each other forever.

This session was captured by one of my second photographers: Daniella Yousef.

Antonio and Alejandra have been married for 45 years. Antonio is described by those who know him as strong, courageous, generous, and resilient. He is the strongest man with the kindest heart.

He is fighting cancer with his family by his side. Four daughters, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandkids are praying for good news in January.

It was the day after Thanksgiving when they all came together to laugh, have fun, and celebrate family.

This is what a cool Aunt looks like!

I am a story teller with camera. I love capturing details... your shoes next your bouquet, a close up of your rings, flowers down the aisle. I love capturing emotions...your fiancé's face when he sees you for the first time, your mom biting her lip as she sees your dad walk you down the aisle and you laughing as your Maid of Honor tells the behind the scenes part of your love story. I love capturing amazing moments...your first kiss as husband and wife... Yes, I am a romantic and I am blessed to do what I love. I get to capture the ultimate promise of love... a wedding.

A picture captures a moment in life, a reason to remember, holding the ones we LOVE... FOREVER.. in a Story in Time.
