Oak Glen Engagement: Michael loves Johana

El amor no tiene fronteras. Nunca razona. Cuando dos seres deben de estar juntos, nada los separará.

Love has no borders. It never reasons. When two people are meant to be together, there is nothing that will keep them apart.

Oak Glen Engagement: Jesús and Abigail

Love is never bound my time or borders. It is meant to exist. Some will call it a coincidence, others destiny but when love is meant to be it will endure.
Jesús thought he was meeting someone to sell a cell phone at the airport that day. He was on his way home from México to the United States. The buyer would arrive and by his side a pretty girl. Jesús would think about her on the flight home, but he did not know her name and now thousands of miles would separate them. It would be eight years, before he would see her again. It was at a party, a barbecue and Abigail was visiting family. He said to her, “I know you.” Abigail smiled at the man she had also noticed at the airport. Suddenly, she had a reason to stay in the United States.
In less than a year, Jesús would propose. It would be at dinner with her family. Abigail was eating cake. Her mouth was full when she saw him drop to one knee and hold out the ring. She chewed fast and swallowed hard and said, “Yes,” to the man who was destined to always be by her side.

(Jesus and Abigail had car trouble on the way to their first engagement session… this was the real one.)

Oak Glen Engagement: Al loves Stacy

Mutual friends believed that Stacy and Al were meant to be together and so the online profiles were sent. Stacy commented on his picture first, but it was Al who was persistent about meeting her.  The typical first meeting over coffee was not to be. Stacy wanted to eat and so PF Changs it was. Al spent the meeting trying to get to know her and according to Stacy, she spent the meeting stuffing her face and asking him if he was gonna finish his plate.  Four days later, after dates of going out to eat, the first kiss finally happened. Love  was already there.  He was in love with the spunky loud mouthed girl who made him smile and laugh. Stacy loved him because he was genuine. He was the guy with biggest heart.

On a beach, in front of all their family and friends and most importantly with Stacy’s dad present, Al asked Stacy to be his forever. The drone recording it all captured the moment she said yes to the man she would love forever.

Oak Glen Engagement: Alfred and Aracely

It was the summer of 2008 and Alfred and Aracely were students at UC Santa Barbara. At first it was just friendly glances that two neighbors shared who lived in the same apartment complex, then they became friends who hung out with other friends…then they became close friends. While Aracely found him attractive, she also found him a bit annoying. He would not leave her alone. It would take close to a year for them to finally go on their first date. It was May. Then summer came again and Aracely left to Greece. The man who would not leave her alone surprised her at the airport with gifts and a love letter. Everyday during that summer he would call and email on a daily basis. Alfred even sent Aracely a song of the day to let her know he was thinking of her. Aracely missed him. She realized how caring and thoughtful he was, so she returned home to his arms.
Fast forward to the beginning of the Christmas Season. Aracely had planned on a night out with her friends. As they passed UC Santa Barbara she saw a Christmas Tree. Everyone knew that she would want a closer look. She ran towards it, only to run back when she saw her friends were not with her anymore. They encouraged her to go and look at the beautiful tree. Suddenly, the man who had decorated it came out with ultimate Christmas Present… an engagement ring. Alfred was never going to leave her alone and Aracely would always be by his side. She said yes to be his forever.

Oak Glen Photography: Nick loves Stacie

Love is always sent from heaven, but sometimes it sent indirectly via an angel. Nick has a picture of his sister in heaven tattooed on his arm. In the most incredible coincidence, a girl with a link to his sister brought Nick and Stacie together. She knew that they would be perfect together. Nick proudly admits that Stacie was the first girl he ever asked out. Even though other girls had asked him out and gone out with him, Stacie was the first girl he wanted. On their first date to Downtown Disney, he threw a coin in the wishing well and wished that she would always be his. His wish is coming true. There is no other man Stacie would ever want. Of course it would be at Downtown Disney where Nick would propose. An angel smiled, a wish was granted and Stacie said, “Yes,” to forever.
