Oak Glen Engagement: Caesar loves Irma

If Green Acres were real… this would be the Love Story.

It was Caesar’s birthday and the wish he did not even know he had made, was about to come true. Irma crashed his party and broke into his heart. She had tagged along with her cousin. The city girl in her never expected to fall in love with an attractive cowboy, but it happened.

Soon she was going with him to buy more drinks for the party. Caesar loved the way the pretty girl talked. He made up his mind right then that he would win her heart. He had no clue, he was already half way there.

Their first date would be at BJ’s Brewery for what would be their favorite meal… Pizza and beer.

Irma fell in love with his determination to always be better, his hardworking attitude and of course… his beard. Caesar loved that even though she was so pretty, she was real, educated, intelligent and patient. She was the woman he wanted to grow old with.

It would be on a hike at Claremont Loop, where the trees come together to form an arch, where Caesar would ask Irma to marry him. She was in shock, but of course said yes. She had found a man who supported her career and loved her. He wanted to take care of her. Both had found true love.

Oak Glen Engagement Photography: Pablo loves Lorna

It started with a prayer and a broken heart. Pablo sat in the Church of the Nazarene and prayed for peace after a break up. He had no idea that God would send him what he prayed for exactly there.. the church. Lorna met Pablo at a youth gathering on a Friday night. If either of them noticed each other, they didn’t talk. It would take a year. Soon they realized that they liked to be around each other during church activities, but that’s where their interactions stopped. They didn’t have a friendship outside of church.
Then came Pablo’s birthday. Lorna was invited to celebrate. Out on the dance floor they shared their first kiss. Euphoria!!! But the next day, Lorna believed that it had been an alcohol induced first kiss. She convinced herself that he would not even remember it. So she sent the cake she had baked him with someone else.
Whether it was alcohol or not, Pablo wanted to kiss her again. He asked her out, but asked her to drive to his house. He told Lorna he had something for her inside. Lorna went in to see a decorated dining room with candles and roses. He had sent his parents to the movies. They spent their time talking and getting to know each other. Lorna knew that day that he was the one. He was selfless, smart, caring and very loving. He even learned to love and accept Lorna’s dogs! Their love was genuine and amazing.
If on their first date, Pablo decorated a living room, he had to go beyond that to propose. He decorated an entire loft in LA. It was a gallery exhibition. The pictures on the wall were of them. Between roses and candles. Lorna said, “Yes,” to the man she loved. Pablo would not say this once but a lot.
” I prayed for a smart, funny, loving beautiful girl and God gave me more than what I prayed for”

Oak Glen Engagement Photography: Mike loves Cassandra

Cassandra looked at the profiles before her on the E-Harmony site. There he was. A guy that looked genuine. She loved his smile and so she messaged him. Mike could only wonder who the girl with the beautiful eyes was, but soon he was loving her sense of humor and her smile as well. They instantly connected. They had a ton in common. Most couples go to dinner and a movie, but they went for dinner and country line dancing.
Cassandra two stepped into Mike’s heart. As she leaned up against the bar, he just stopped and stared, smiled, pulled her closer and kissed her. There would be no kissing any other for either of them ever again.
Mike loved Cassandra’s sense of humor, her caring personality, and her bright outlook on life, and how she could always make his day better and brighter. Cassandra loved his how he always listened and gave the best advice. He remained positive and he made her smile.
So on a trip to Laguna Beach at Sunset, Mike proposed to the girl who clicked on his profile. Cassandra said, “Yes.”

Oak Glen Engagement Photography: Thomas loves Hope

Destiny is one that will make sure paths cross. However, what crossed Thomas and Hope’s path was a train. They were both late to work, parked a mile away from their facing car dealerships. They stood on the sidewalk and exchanged awkward glances. Not a single word was spoken, but destiny had made her point. It would be two months later, when they would run into each other again at a local restaurant. This time, Thomas worked up a enough courage to say hello and to introduce himself… and of course stalked and became Hope’s friend on Facebook. With Hope he was quiet, but Thomas was showing all of his family and friends her pictures and telling them that he would do anything for a date with her.
A few weeks later, destiny brought them together at a mutual friend’s party. Now Thomas worked up enough courage to ask her out. What was supposed to be a couple of hours together at the Aquarium of the Pacific was not enough. Soon they were eating lunch on the Santa Monica Pier. Then the afternoon became evening, and they found themselves driving to Ventura to see Thomas’ father for dinner. During the drive, Thomas texted his mother, “I’m going to marry this girl.”
Fast forward a year and half later. Thomas surprised Hope with a little getaway to La Jolla. Hope walked out to enjoy a breathtaking sunset from the balcony. She turned to find Thomas on one knee. An awkward glance, a first hello, a brave first date… Thomas asked what he and Destiny had always wanted, “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?” She said, “Yes.”
