Ontario Wedding Chapel: Steven and Anna

Anna kept telling her love story while her make up was being put on… from meeting him to the proposal. Her happiness was contagious. Today she was marrying the man who made her happy, who got her… Steven never took his eyes off her as she walked up the aisle to him. Minutes later after their ceremony, they became guests as Anna’s parents renewed their 25 year vows. Two grooms very much in love and two beautiful brides… and an amazing cake fight! The bride thanked her parents for the example of love and the groom invited everyone back in 25 years to celebrate his silver and their gold anniversaries. Love does not count time… Love is there.

Behind the Wedding Story- Serena and Moses

We do a better job of taking the pictures than being in them. Here’s a glimpse of what goes on as we capture a wedding story. (And um…please note, I changed my shoes and I added a blazer for the ceremony and the reception.)

I am not afraid to get on the floor. Sometimes it’s the best place to be.

There were sprinklers and we knew we could use them. My second photographer is explaining what looks like the importance of Jazz Hands.

Sometimes the best way to describe what we want is to do it ourselves. (Yes, the bride and groom always look better!)

Coco Palms Wedding- Tayo and Kemi Okusanya

Sometimes love is within our reach and we do not see it…or know it is there. So God makes sure that love travels and follows us waiting for that moment to be known. They both lived in Nigeria…in the same city, but there paths never crossed. They both moved to the United States and lived on opposite sides of the country. She was in Florida and he was in California. A mutual friend insisted, Tayo called Kemi. That first phone call lasted 3 hours! For Kemi it was a magical conversation and she didn’t want it to end. Obviously Tayo didn’t either because he kept calling her back..everyday..sometimes four times a day. They fell in love…and loving each other was effortless. Within a month she was for the first time in Tayo’s arms. Five months later, Kemi moved to California. Tayo asked her to marry him. “God blessed me and hand picked him solely for me…I truly believe that.” Love had crossed a continent, a country…It was all God’s plan.

Eagle Glen Wedding- Sarah and Tim Donnelly

There are people who teach you to love…to love others, love life. And then there are people who you fall in love with. At Sarah and Tim’s Wedding both were there…some in spirit. Sarah had the pictures of their grandparents on her bouquet. There were also nickels. Nickels in the bouquet and nickels on the aisle she walked to join her best friend forever. Because even though you can’t place a price on love, her grandfather always said, “It will cost you a nickel.” (In God We Trust.)

The Florist that made the beautiful bouquet and decorated: Flowers by Sherri
The DJ who kept everything on track, fun and made party unforgettable: Marvel Entertainment

Volkov Wedding- Marina Village, San Diego

It was a wedding with roller coasters, monkeys, bag pipes and somehow the groom got pushed in shopping cart. But what else could be expected on a date that will only come around again in the next thousand years? On 11-11-11, Kori Menzies married Jim Volkov.
He made her the bouquet that she carried down the aisle. It was wrapped with her Daddy’s tie and tucked away in it was the picture of her grandpa in a locket. They both teared up when they saw each other for the first time, but once they were together all nerves were gone. He could not stop smiling at her during the entire ceremony and then he couldn’t stop kissing her. They rode a roller coaster with their wedding party. The most touching toasts were made from family and friends who came from as far as Italy to be there. And to match the cake top, there was a lot of monkeying around during their reception. Monkey Love- the love of craziness. The love of Kori and Jim.

The Beautiful Flowers and Centerpieces: Twice Touched Treasures
The Talented DJ who had us partying the entire night: Sound Prodigy-Pat Connolly and Patrick Neal
