Pasadena: La Casita de Arroyo: Engagement Pictures: Isaac loves Maressa

They were two teenagers at Church Camp who were placed in the same group for a skit. They had no idea then that they would grow up, mature together and independently, fall and stay in love.

It didn’t matter the distance. Even if a large part of their dating was online, they were together because their hearts were. Maressa loved that Isaac was generous, gregarious and adventurous. He brought out strength in her.

Isaac loved that Maressa was ambitious, compassionate and kind hearted. She brought an energy of compassion everywhere she went. Isaac could she that she was the type of person that would see someone crying and cry with them regardless, if she knew them or not. She was the one that completed him in many ways for the better.

He knew that she was irreplaceable and he would never find another like her, so he asked a sea lion to help him propose.

Maressa was a huge animal lover and whenever they traveled to a new state or city, they would always find time to visit the local zoo or aquarium. The Aquarium of the Pacific had been one of their first real dates. Maressa was interacting with the Sea Lion when she reached out to grab a toy that said, “Will you Marry Me?” Isaac was in the back, on one knee with the ring!

Pasadena Engagement Pictures: A Love Story: George loves Sasha.

It was Sasha’s first day of work as a barista at Crevier BMW and no one had said, “hello.” It was the end of the day, and she was taking out the trash when George noticed her from across the parking lot. He walked straight up to her and introduced himself. It was the beginning of a friendship that would last 8 years. A friendship of check ins and hellos, but a sincere one. It would take 8 years for George to ask her out and when he did, he said, “as friends.” They met up for sushi and drinks. The moment Sasha walked through the door and saw him sitting there, butterflies swarmed. George of course, felt the same way. What was supposed to be a quick catch up with a friend ended up being a date. They stayed until closing and ended the night with an immaculate kiss.

Sasha had prayed for many years for God to send her a man who would accept her and her son. Her prayers were answered in abundance. George not only accepted them, but cherished and protected them.

“George makes me feel like I am always the only person in a room. As if I am the most beautiful creature to walk this earth. He makes me feel safe and secure with just one kiss on my hand. He makes me laugh so hard that I snort- a talent seldom experienced. I am never the weirdo in the room anymore, but rather WE are the weird couple now! But that’s okay, I’ll happily take the crown of weird old couple in the room one day! I can see us strutting around with our very old and fat selves, laughing and smiling and celebrating our lives together, because that’s what I see when I look into his eyes…I see George by my side for the rest of my life.”

The day George proposed, he told Sasha, he was taking her out for dinner for date night at The Gulf Stream. Sasha didn’t noticed that they were going in the wrong direction, until they pulled up to the boating docks in Newport. George yelled, “Surprise!!!,” and Sasha said, “Oooookay??” She figured that they were going to watch the sunset on the beach, but instead George walked her down the dock that was covered in rose petals. The dock lead to a gondola with a candle lit dinner, wine, and desserts. While enjoying the water, the night, and a romantic song the gondolier sang, a glass bottle floated alongside them. George leaned over, grabbed it and pulled out a note. He gave it to Sasha to open. She read the words, “My Sasha, I love you with all my heart. Will you Marry me?” Sasha looked up and George was on one knee holding a beautiful ring. Of course, Sasha cried and said, “Yes!”

Pasadena Engagement Pictures: Anthony loves Angela

She didn’t want to go out, but her mom made her go to the bar with the family. She hadn’t noticed the cute guy that was staring, until the waitress brought her the Michelada he had ordered for her. Her mom told her to go talk with him. She hesitated, but went and in the end gave him her number. Anthony called her the next day and took her the the movies and Applebees. He was soon taking her places that she had never been. Angela had lots of reasons to fall in love with him. He was funny and gave without hesitation, but most importantly he accepted Angela’s son who has special need.

Being the hilarious comedian he is, Anthony proposed in the funniest way. He pretended to be arrested. His friend, an officer helped him out. There, cuffed and on the ground he asked Angela to marry him. This time, there was no hesitation. She said, “Yes.”

Pasadena Engagement Photographer: Juan loves Jasmine

Jasmine had already heard of Juan, long before she started working for the Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation. Her cousins talked about him all the time. They worked different shifts, until one day, the stars aligned and they had a chance to make up an excuse to talk to each other. And so it began the friendship began.

One afternoon, Juan offered Jasmine a ride home. He had no clue that her grandparents literally lived four houses away. Jasmine told him that she could walk home, but not before leaning in to kiss him and thanking her for the ride. Perhaps it was that first kiss or that Juan was not about to let a pretty girl walk home alone, so he found himself following her with his car insisting that he could give her a ride. Jasmine kept telling him she was almost home and he kept saying, “I just want to make sure you get home safe.” She did. And now Juan was stopped in front of Jasmine’s grandparent’s house talking with her when all of her siblings and cousins came out to see what was going on. Juan had been kissed, stalked Jasmine with the car and had met her family all in one day.

It would take a few months for that real first date to happen, but instead of wearing heels, Jasmine wore a long brace and crutches. She had knee surgery for a torn meniscus. When ever Juan saw her, he would try to help her, asking her if there was anything she needed. Jasmine figured that if he could deal with her on crutches, he could deal with anything and so she agreed to the date.

Jasmine right away saw that there was something special about him that she did not want to lose. She fell in love with his personality, his humor, the strength in the way he represented himself, his smile, and his confidence. Juan fell in love with her big heart. He had never met a more kind, generous and loving person.

Within a year, they would be parents to a son. Their love had to grow. Then they would be blessed with a daughter. They were a family.

The engagement ring that Jasmine would wear, belonged to her grandmother. It was the ring that her grandfather had bought her for their 25th Wedding Anniversary. When they were about to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary, he passed away leaving an example of love, devotion and commitment. This is the love that Jasmine and Juan want for each other. This is the love story that they will strive to create for each other and their children.
