California Child Photography: Three Year Old Celebration: Mia Sarai

In Mexico, a child’s third birthday is a major milestone celebrated with a religious ceremony called the Presentación de Tres Años. There is a blessing, and the parents give thanks for their child’s life. Mia Sarai is turning three! This is like a mini Quinceañera.

Mia is a smart, playful, and happy toddler. She loves to go inside the chicken coop with her grandpa. Her friend’s name is Sebastian. Even though they do not get to see each other that often, they do love playing together.

Rancho Los Portales: Lake Elisinore: Quinceañera: Desiree

Desiree had a beautiful Quinceañera filled with many incredible moments. She took pictures with her dog before changing and then did an epic reveal with her friends. Catholic Mass was celebrated under a beautiful tree. Her reception was filled with pink and white flowers, life-size pictures of herself, and her name in lights. She danced on a cloud of smoke with her dad and heard the beautiful speech her mom made. She danced her waltz, where she was lifted into the air, she crowned two future Quinceañeras in the family, and then invited her family and friends to join her on the dance floor for a picture with her. She finished the night with a fun surprise dance.

Months before we took her formals. And now she and her mom looked at a guestbook created from those images.

Special thanks to the firefighters of Rosetta Canyon Fire Station for allowing us to capture memories in the front of the station.

Cal State University San Bernardino Graduation Photography: Viviana Cabrera

Viviana is graduating Magna Cum Laude from CSUSB with a BA in Liberal Studies. She will be a teacher! She hopes to teach second- and third-graders.

“I want to be a teacher because I believe every person should have a right to an education and shouldn’t be shunned or made to feel guilty about not learning as fast as others may. I want to be a teacher who uplifts their students and helps them realize that we all learn at our own pace, and your pace is not greater/lesser than anyone else’s. I want to be the kind of teacher where students aren’t afraid to ask for help or say they don’t understand something because they know there will be absolutely no judgment from me. I really just want to reach students where they are at and help them get an education and learn to love learning.”
