Will Rodgers State Beach / Surprise Proposal/ Belyn said yes!

Belyn thought she was just going to brunch with Miguel and then a walk on the Santa Monica Pier. They ended up at the beach they loved. As always, they climbed the rocks and looked at the ocean. She had no clue that photographers were capturing them from a distance… waiting. Miguel had orchestrated for weeks with her parents, and his parents that today would be the day, that he would propose to the woman he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

While Belyn sat on a beach blanket, Miguel pulled out a box that had a very special ring in it and asked her to marry him. Belyn said, “Yes!” The man kneeling in front of her was now her fiancé.

Special thanks to Danny and Jackie Salazar from Pictures Are Forever for capturing this proposal for A Story in Time.

Happy Birthday Jesus!/ A Story in Time Photography’s Favorite Assistant

He carries lenses, reflectors, and lights… and the weight of being my husband. He packs the car. Makes sure I have water and he holds on to every ladder I stand on, even when I tell him I’m fine. He is constantly hearing the words, “Stand over there and pretend to be a bride.” He has held crying babies, bouquets and endless wallets, cellular phones and keys that should not show up in pockets. He is the only one on our team that calls me, “Boss,” but only when we are working. And of course, there’s a bit of sarcasm in his voice. He knows we have to take a selfie. He laughs at my jokes and always tell me my pictures are beautiful. I love him. Happy Birthday Jesus!

    Sweet 16: Laura

It was simple, low key and yet elegant and beautiful. Laura celebrated her 16th birthday with the people who loved her the most, her family. One of her aunts made her dress and another aunt decorated her house. Cousins from Mexico and Costa Rica came to see her dance with her dad and hear him toast his daughter. “We love you very much, ” were the first words he had to say.

San Juan Capistrano Engagement: Chris loves Winona

They decided to meet “halfway,” at the Anaheim Packing District, but before the date even started, Chris made Winona upset. He told Winona that he was stuck busy at work, and that he might be late or have to cancel.

Winona who was almost out the door, was not going to accept a cancellation. She was an ER Nurse who worked nights. This was her day off and she had even put on make up! The date was happening today or it was all over.

Chris was late, but he was there waiting outside. Winona walked closer to him. He was turned away. Her heart was pounding. He turned. She saw a tall and good looking guy. He saw a beautiful woman. Neither knew it then, but they had just met the person they were going to marry.

There was no awkwardness in that first date. Everything was smooth and easy. It ended with a hug. Their second date would bring them closer…. lunch, a movie, time at sports bar and their first kiss.

Winona soon realized that Chris was patient, caring and loving. She not only felt loved, but spoiled. When she was anxious, he was peace. He was strength when she felt weak. He was her mind reader and he was on her mind.

Chris was in love. Winona was beautiful, caring and adventurous. She appreciated him. She brought joy to his life and made him laugh with her contagious positivity. So for their 2nd anniversary, they decided to go to Hawaii. Every evening, they walked the beach and saw the sunset. What Winona did not know was that Chris was finding the perfect place and time to propose.

On their last night, they said in front of the lake. Chris told Winona that he had a present for her and to close her eyes. When she opened them, Chris was holding a gorgeous ring in his hand asking her to marry him. Winona said, “Of course!” The start of their journey to forever had started.

Chino Wetlands Family Photography: Kevin loves Jeanette

Jeanette jokes that Kevin is the clumsiet person she knows. Well he did fall head over heals for her, so there is that. They are raising two beautiful daughters. Jaylene is loving, nurturing and creative.
Alaïa is loving, silly and at the age of one, she is bouncy. (I’m pretty sure that last adjective mom picked to describe her baby will change in a few years.)
Kevin has long days at work. When he’s home, they try to make the make the most out of the time they have together even if it is helping each other with house work and baby work.
