La Verne University Graduation Session: Brittany

Brittany has graduated from the University of La Verne with a Master’s in Mild Moderate Special Education.

“My major is Mild/Moderate Special Education, which focuses on supporting students with disabilities such as learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and ADHD. I chose this field because it holds a special place in my life. As a student with a learning disability, I benefited greatly from the support, guidance, and understanding of my teachers throughout my K–12 education. Their positive impact inspired me to pursue a career in special education.
As a future educator, I want to provide my students with the same encouragement and support that helped me succeed. My goal is to help students develop not only academically but also socially and emotionally. It is rewarding to watch students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and grow into knowledgeable, capable individuals. Being a teacher gives me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their educational journey.
My career goal is to become an ASD teacher. I enjoy working with students with autism because each day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and problem-solve. These students have unique perspectives, creative ideas, and wonderful personalities that make teaching both challenging and rewarding.”

Eleanor Rosevelt High School, Eastvale: Senior Session: Dalila

June 2, 2026

Dalia is described by her mom as thoughtful, caring, hardworking, and resilient. She is graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale. The classes she loved show her artistic talent: ceramics and photography. But she also enjoyed learning new concepts about real-life scenarios in Financial Algebra. She pushed herself to take AP classes and has been on the Honor Roll every year, even though learning doesn’t come easily to her. She plays drums in a garage band named “Bewitched.” They won 1st place in Battle of the Bands their junior year and 2nd place their senior year.

Dalila was the historian in a Women’s Empowerment Club. She played Softball even after breaking her leg her Sophomore year and continued her Junior year. She made really good friends that will probably last a lifetime, and an amazing boyfriend named Niko. Post high school, she will attend Long Beach Community College to study fashion styling. She’s also taking a trip to Europe with one of her best friends named Lana, in the summer.

Cal Baptist University: Future Grad: Emma

Emma is graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, and she is already celebrating her future. She will be attending Cal Baptist University. Mark 11:24: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours”

Her mom’s words….

“Emma is kind, smart, driven, beautiful, a little shy, but once she is comfortable, she is so loving and talkative. She loves listening to Christian music, reading books, and finding cute antique stores. In school, she was in AVID all 4 years and did volunteer work at our church. She loves helping others and kids and has decided to combine both into her career. She wants to be a pediatric nurse 🙏. She will be attending Cal Baptist University for pre-nursing. Emma was given one of the 4 Riverside Avid scholarships, and she was also given one for her class paper. She has worked really hard to be able to make it affordable for us to be able to afford for her to go to her dream school ✨💖”
