Pasadena: La Casita de Arroyo: Engagement Pictures: Isaac loves Maressa

They were two teenagers at Church Camp who were placed in the same group for a skit. They had no idea then that they would grow up, mature together and independently, fall and stay in love.

It didn’t matter the distance. Even if a large part of their dating was online, they were together because their hearts were. Maressa loved that Isaac was generous, gregarious and adventurous. He brought out strength in her.

Isaac loved that Maressa was ambitious, compassionate and kind hearted. She brought an energy of compassion everywhere she went. Isaac could she that she was the type of person that would see someone crying and cry with them regardless, if she knew them or not. She was the one that completed him in many ways for the better.

He knew that she was irreplaceable and he would never find another like her, so he asked a sea lion to help him propose.

Maressa was a huge animal lover and whenever they traveled to a new state or city, they would always find time to visit the local zoo or aquarium. The Aquarium of the Pacific had been one of their first real dates. Maressa was interacting with the Sea Lion when she reached out to grab a toy that said, “Will you Marry Me?” Isaac was in the back, on one knee with the ring!

Casita de Arroyo: Pasadena Engagement: Christopher loves Lizette

Lizette was the first one to make a move. She went up to her cute coworker at the Home Depot and asked him what kind of music he liked. It worked. They were soon talking and falling in love. Christopher had found a girl that would be his, “High Queen.” Lizette had found a man that was kind, understanding and selfless.

Their relationship was easy and warm. They both could be equally weird around the other.

On a trip to San Fransisco, Christopher proposed. His brother had the ring and he could not find him. He was flustered. Everything that Chris wanted to say, he forgot. All he could ask was for her to marry him. Lizette believed he was joking until she saw the ring. It was not a joke. Love was real. She said, “Yes,” to the man she loved.

Pasadena Engagement Photos: Thomas loves Cassie

Being at the right place, at the right time usually helps in a love story. But for Cassie and Thomas this was not the case. They were at a friend’s house party and Cassie was dating someone else. Thomas had dated Cassie’s friend in high school. So if glances were exchanged, phone numbers were not. A couple of years later, destiny would try again to unite them. They ran into each other at a University of Redlands football game where Cassie’s brother and Tommy’s friend were playing. This time Thomas made the first move and messaged Cassie on Facebook. He asked if her restaurant was showing the UFC fight. I’m pretty sure he could have called the restaurant, but I’m also sure that UFC fight was the least of his concerns.
For their first date Thomas picked Cassie up at her house. Just as he was about to introduce himself to her father who was working in the garage, he closed the garage door on him. They still went to the movies! If Cassie’s father was not the happiest, Cassie’s mother was. She had even told Cassie that he was the one when Cassie had shown her his picture.
Despite garage doors being closed in his face, Thomas always knew she was the one. He always wanted to be around her. She was his best friend
No matter what Thomas was going through in life or in his career, Cassie was there to bring him peace. So he took Cassie for a walk.
According to Cassie, it was the longest walk EVER! They were in San Francisco visiting Thomas’ sister and her new baby. Thomas insisted on going to beach that was right by the Golden Gate Bridge. They walked over a mile before they arrived to see a blanket set up with a picnic basket, flowers and balloons. Thomas stopped, took Cassie’s hand and started telling her that she was his best friend and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Cassie cried. As he got down on one knee, the ring box got caught in his pocket. His sister, niece and nephews had been hiding, videotaping and taking pictures of the moment Cassie said, “Yes!” They celebrated with champagne, Cassie’s favorite chocolate chip cookies and lunch at Fisherman’s Warf! They were engaged!
