Jena surrounded herself with fun and caring bridesmaids who kept her grounded, so when dad suddenly realized that his Tux had been left at home… 2 hours away, there was a bit of alcohol and a lot of fun and exciting vibes to reassure her. Jena’s sister did her make up and her mom helped her get dressed. Her bridesmaids turned to see her in her dress and the most heartfelt expressions of happiness flooded their faces.
Dad made it back in time, dressed and ready to see his little girl. He turned to see Jena and the culmination of their last 23 years they had shared together was captured in one emotional moment.
Quinn waited in Camp Pendleton, ready to see his bride to be. Jena had been looking forward to seeing him in his Dress Blues. Both smiled and laughed as they turned to see each other. Two souls who belonged together. A very quick family session with those they loved the most and it was off to the chapel. Their niece and nephew walked in arm and arm seriously taking their roles as ring bearer and flower girl. Olive, even after the ceremony had begun, continued to throw rose petals down the aisle from her seat. Their siblings did the, “I’m not crying. You’re crying.. thing.”
There, in Marine Memorial Chapel, Jena and Quinn exchanged vows and proclaimed their love in front of those closest to them. They walked out and for a moment, they were alone in front of the chapel. The doors open and those who loved them most stood on the steps next to them, surrounding them with love.
Everyone made their way to the Pacific Event Center where the blue sky began to darken. Sunset fell as they entered their reception. Their nephew Z took over the dance floor. Jena and Quinn were married. Their forever had started.
