Redondo Beach Pier Engagement Photography: Michael loves Karah

Neither had any intention of meeting anyone that night. But fate had brought them both to a bar in Camden called Underworld. There on the dance floor, the inevitable happened. They saw each other. The Universe had brought Karah 5,000 miles away from her home to meet Michael. She was in England, studying fashion. Within minutes, Michael and Karah were gravitating towards each other. And as if they had known each other before, they kissed.

Michael brought her a drink, got her info and left. He was the designated driver. The next day, Karah woke up to a message and a dinner invitation. It was on that first date that Michael knew she was the one. He did not want to be apart from her. But within a month, Karah was leaving to return home.

Michael bought an airplane ticket and Karah had an awkward conversation with her parents that she was bringing home someone for them to meet. Understandably, there was a bit of concern. Then they met him and saw why Karah did not doubt that they would always be together.

Michael loved Karah. She was the most selfless and empathetic person he had ever met. She had a heart of gold. There is not a day that goes by that he doesn’t step back and and appreciate how lucky he is.

A long distance relationship had begun. Michael proposed in Boston in 2018. It was a very in the moment proposal. Then the pandemic happened. They were married in a simple court wedding in London. Of course, family and friends were not able to attend and so a second wedding has been planned.

A second wedding meant a second proposal. There on the Redondo Pier, a place so enjoyed by Karah’s family, Michael got down on one knee as the sun was setting and asked her to marry him. He gave her a second ring. Karah, of course said, ” Yes!!!,”….again.

South End Racquet Club/ Torrance/ Pedro and Joyce

Pedro stared at the back of the church. Jocelyn was about to walk up the aisle to him She was the girl he had met at the movie theater they worked at, the girl that was part of his hiking group of friends, the girl he had fallen in love with and the one who admitted loving him too. She was about to walk up the aisle and become his wife.

Joyce and Pedro walked out of the church and the doors were closed. For a minute, it was just them, then their family and friends came out and joined them on the steps.

They celebrated with their wedding party and family at a park overlooking the sea. Day ended and the lights of the city below became their back drop.

Their reception started. They danced on a cloud, laughed and teared up during their toasts and celebrated on a crowded dance floor.

Pasadena Engagement Photographer: Juan loves Jasmine

Jasmine had already heard of Juan, long before she started working for the Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation. Her cousins talked about him all the time. They worked different shifts, until one day, the stars aligned and they had a chance to make up an excuse to talk to each other. And so it began the friendship began.

One afternoon, Juan offered Jasmine a ride home. He had no clue that her grandparents literally lived four houses away. Jasmine told him that she could walk home, but not before leaning in to kiss him and thanking her for the ride. Perhaps it was that first kiss or that Juan was not about to let a pretty girl walk home alone, so he found himself following her with his car insisting that he could give her a ride. Jasmine kept telling him she was almost home and he kept saying, “I just want to make sure you get home safe.” She did. And now Juan was stopped in front of Jasmine’s grandparent’s house talking with her when all of her siblings and cousins came out to see what was going on. Juan had been kissed, stalked Jasmine with the car and had met her family all in one day.

It would take a few months for that real first date to happen, but instead of wearing heels, Jasmine wore a long brace and crutches. She had knee surgery for a torn meniscus. When ever Juan saw her, he would try to help her, asking her if there was anything she needed. Jasmine figured that if he could deal with her on crutches, he could deal with anything and so she agreed to the date.

Jasmine right away saw that there was something special about him that she did not want to lose. She fell in love with his personality, his humor, the strength in the way he represented himself, his smile, and his confidence. Juan fell in love with her big heart. He had never met a more kind, generous and loving person.

Within a year, they would be parents to a son. Their love had to grow. Then they would be blessed with a daughter. They were a family.

The engagement ring that Jasmine would wear, belonged to her grandmother. It was the ring that her grandfather had bought her for their 25th Wedding Anniversary. When they were about to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary, he passed away leaving an example of love, devotion and commitment. This is the love that Jasmine and Juan want for each other. This is the love story that they will strive to create for each other and their children.

Rose Center Theater Wedding: Lynette Romero Officiating: Albert and Pearl

The girl he remembered seeing in middle school, the one he came across after high school was finally going to be his wife. Albert stood in the hall way and anxiously waited for Pearl to touch his shoulder. He clenched his fingers. His serious face broke into a smile, the moment he turned and saw the woman he loved. They stood together and it was obvious that they were the power couple and drew their strength came from each other. They turned and walked the hallway to find their wedding party waiting and cheering for them. Laughter and joy… the party had begun as their friends surrounded them and started the celebration.

To the shock of their guests, Lynette Romero from Chanel 5 KTLA officiated. She welcomed their families and friends and lovingly shared their story as she married them. She wiped Pearl’s happy tears and directed groomsmen to move so grandparents could see. Her sincere kindness and happiness for their love was obvious. Her wonderful humor continued as she interviewed them, admiring their wedding rings and posing with the KTLA Van.

A beautiful ballroom awaited Albert and Pearl and their favorite singer Trish Toledo was there to welcome them. They danced to the song, “Confessing a Feeling,” for their first dance as the room filled with white smoke and they danced on a cloud.

It was an amazing first day of forever.
