Save the Date Session- Orlando loves Evelyn

Sometimes love has a plan and destiny helps it. Orlando and Evelyn met through a mutual friend. Orlando asked her if she went to the same church his mom attended. Evelyn did and had seen his mother there. The following Sunday, Orlando was at church with his mom. He asked her to a Dodger game. Three months later, at that same church, he would ask her to be his girlfriend. Before they had met, Orlando’s mom had been trying to get them to meet….destiny had made sure it happened.
Orlando and Evelyn will have their full engagement session later this year. For right now… Save the Date!

Galleano Winery Wedding- Dennise and Robert

Usually, my blog post about a wedding centers about the couple’s love… a beautiful bride, a smiling groom, pretty flower girls, emotions during the ceremony, the party! Yeah there was all of that, but then there was also the groom being thrown into the pool BEFORE the wedding!!!! There I was shooting the bride’s formals when the text came in from Bill, my second photographer. “They threw him into the pool!” The picture from the back of the camera was attached. I looked at Dennise and dumbly said out loud, “They threw Robert in the pool!” She looked shocked and asked, “They what?” Great, I.. Me… Myself.. all by Myself freaked out the bride on her wedding day! I’m the one that keeps them calm! Grr… So, I did what I knew best… I lied! “Just kidding! See I made you laugh!” Dennise looked relieved and said, “Well it sounds like something they would do… there is a pool there.” I laughed more..”Yeah… they will probably throw my second photographer in the pool.” And then came the investigating… I cornered her uncle in the driveway, who had just come from the groom’s house and demanded he tell me what happened. (I’m only 5 feet tall but I can be scary and my camera is pretty big.) “Yeah…They threw him in the pool.. but it wasn’t his suit. It was his uncle’s. It was his uncle’s idea.” I calmly smiled, and put my 70-200 lens down.. sighed a huge sigh of relief and went on to capture Dennise and Robert’s wedding story.

And here are the infamous pictures of the groom being thrown into the pool.

Galleano Winery Engagement – Erica and Gilbert

It was cold and she didn’t have a sweater. He did and since it was three sizes too big for him, she fit in it, next to him. And so the friendship started. That was all it was because the guy with the tough look and the baggy clothes was not her type… but he was still her friend. Then came junior prom and they both went…as friends. It was there that Gilbert asked her out. Erica didn’t want to hurt his feelings, so she said, “I guess so.” Gilbert answered, “You guess?” So Erica smiled and said, “Just kidding.” She figured she would break up with him later. Her friends couldn’t believe that she was dating him. But the more Erica spent time with Gilbert, she realized that the Bad Boy Tough Guy Wanna Be Gangster was not really him. He was sweet, kind and made her smile. He was exactly her type.
Fast forward to a family dinner with her parents, where she ran into Gilbert’s family who happened to be at the same restaurant. Gilbert had said he could not go. He had to work. Gilbert’s mom told Erica she had something to show her. Erica went over to see, but suddenly Gilbert’s mom changed her mind. Erica turned to return back to her seat, only to find Gilbert on one knee blocking her. He had asked her to Junior Prom. He had asked her out. That night in front of both of their families he asked her to marry him. There was nothing to guess this time. The answer was, “Yes.”

“Every now and then I get a little lost. The strings all get tangled. The wires all get crossed. Every now and then I’m right upon the edge, danglin’ my toes out over the ledge. I just thank God you’re here…. No matter where my reckless soul takes me…Baby you save me.” Kenny Chesney
