Oak Glen Engagement Photography: Thomas loves Hope

Destiny is one that will make sure paths cross. However, what crossed Thomas and Hope’s path was a train. They were both late to work, parked a mile away from their facing car dealerships. They stood on the sidewalk and exchanged awkward glances. Not a single word was spoken, but destiny had made her point. It would be two months later, when they would run into each other again at a local restaurant. This time, Thomas worked up a enough courage to say hello and to introduce himself… and of course stalked and became Hope’s friend on Facebook. With Hope he was quiet, but Thomas was showing all of his family and friends her pictures and telling them that he would do anything for a date with her.
A few weeks later, destiny brought them together at a mutual friend’s party. Now Thomas worked up enough courage to ask her out. What was supposed to be a couple of hours together at the Aquarium of the Pacific was not enough. Soon they were eating lunch on the Santa Monica Pier. Then the afternoon became evening, and they found themselves driving to Ventura to see Thomas’ father for dinner. During the drive, Thomas texted his mother, “I’m going to marry this girl.”
Fast forward a year and half later. Thomas surprised Hope with a little getaway to La Jolla. Hope walked out to enjoy a breathtaking sunset from the balcony. She turned to find Thomas on one knee. An awkward glance, a first hello, a brave first date… Thomas asked what he and Destiny had always wanted, “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?” She said, “Yes.”

Oak Glen Photography: Phillip loves Jessica

Philip walked into the restaurant where Jessica was celebrating her birthday. She didn’t know it then, but the nice guy who drove her home, who she thought was too young for her would be the most amazing present she would ever receive. It would take a year, but at another party, after a few drinks, they started talking. Philip would take her dancing at The Echo in L.A. for their first date. Jessica knew she had found the right guy with who she wanted to spend the rest of her life. She always felt comfortable with him. Hanging out was so easy and fun. Their love was so natural. They became parents and Phillip became an amazing father to their daughter. Phillip also knew there was no other for him. So as the song, Sextape played, in the middle of the mosh pit at a Deftones Concert…He got down on one knee and opened the box. Jessica said yes, to forever.

Corona del Mar Engagement- Danny Loves Jackie

Danny sold the cars and Jackie funded the deals. They talked on the phone and eventually they met. Danny asked her out, but Jackie did not want to mix business with pleasure and so she said, “No.” Yet… she missed him and would tell him. So Danny asked her out again. Once again he received the speech of how it was conflict to date because of work. So Danny let a month go by and lost touch until he sold another vehicle and once again he heard the words…”I missed you.” He asked her out again, adding the words…”as friends.” They met for lunch…”As friends,” and had a great time. The friendship date was over and the next one was real. Before going in to see the movie, Danny kissed her. Jackie’s response was, “What are you doing?” Danny answered, “Kissing you…Duh,” and kissed her again.
Fast forward a year, an exact year of that first date…August 19th, 2013. At Disneyland, in front of the castle Danny proposed. Jackie cried..She would never miss him again. She said, “Yes.”

Inland Empire Engagement Photography- Rich and Sarah

It was Halloween and Sarah was the only one in costume – Rosie the Riveter. Rich was running for the Monterey Navy Flying Club President. He didn’t know it then, but that day he would win the election and win in love.
They both got into an old T-34 Navy trainer plane. While strapping Sarah into the plane, Rich suddenly realized he was nervous. He didn’t get nervous easily. This was supposed to be a fun, goof around flight. It took a lot to rattle his nerves.
They took off and they “cloud surfed.” The plane dipped and soared like a roller coaster. Rich looked at Sarah in the mirror. He was on Cloud Nine. He knew at the moment, she would be the one for him. He took out his cell phone and took the picture of the woman he knew he would marry. Sarah smiled. Rich would always make her smile. He would treat her like she was the most special girl in the world and just like on that first flight, she would love his strength and always feel secure with him.
Even on the ground, as long as they had each other, they would always feel like they were flying. Love has wings.

Sarah and Rich… thank you so much for serving our country.
