Mickey set them up! They were put in the same group to train to work at Disneyland. Neither of the them were supposed to be there. Jesse was supposed to be interviewing as a security guard and Stephanie had not been able to complete her online questionnaire. Yet, Tinker Bell must have waved her wand because they both found each other in the same room. They both were also already in relationships. It didn’t matter, they still caught each other’s attention. Soon they were friends… friends who secretly liked each other. Once Stephanie was asked by coworker if she liked anyone. Jesse’s back was turned and she gestured towards him. Soon she was describing why she liked him so much. Jesse heard her and actually got sad because he thought she was describing someone else.
Stephanie called Jesse Disney Buddy. Jesse would tell her that her Prince Charming would come. They were keeping their feeling to themselves because neither of them wanted to admit it, yet both of these characters wanted a happy ending with each other. Eventually there was no hiding how either of them felt. At a Disney Party, they watched their first scary movie and held hands under a pillow. They talked all night and shared a kiss. Soon they were inseparable. They carpooled and they hung out before and after work. They had every conversation imaginable on everything from world issues to the lyrics of songs in horror movies. They shared the same cynical sense of humor and the curiosity to experience all that life offered.
Stephanie loved Jesse because he was selfless and patient. Jesse loved her because she was a genuinely good person. While she wore her heart on her sleeve. Jesse wore a matter of fact badge on his, but with Stephanie his true feelings came out.
They complimented each other perfectly. Her weaknesses were his strengths. His weaknesses were her strengths. When Jesse did not believe in himself, Stephanie did. When Stephanie had doubts, Jesse believed in her. They loved each others smiles. They both wanted to be the reason the other smiled.
And so Jesse asked Stephanie to be his forever. Her Disney Buddy had always been her Prince Charming. She said, Yes to the man she loved.
