Kimberlie and Alex’s Engagement- Corona del Mar

They went to the same high school but never noticed each other. Okay, Kimberlie noticed a girl who was always hanging on Alex and Alex always recognized Kimberlie when he went into Ralphs to shop, but other than that… they didn’t notice each other. (Sure guys. Your photographer believes you.)
Anyway, after they both had graduated Alex was helping with the Band after school where Kimberlie’s mom was a Booster. Kimberlie’s mom came home and told her daughter about someone she had to meet. Kimberlie raised her eyebrows. Mom had tried this before. Regardless, she went to help with the band banquet where Mom convinced them that the restaurant did not have Diet Coke and sent them both on a shopping trip to find soda, good conversation, shared interests and ultimately love.

It was Kimberlie’s birthday the day we took these pictures. I got her a Sprinkles Cupcake!

Happy Tears of Love… the best kind.

Lori and Chris- Newport Fashion Island and Corona del Mar Engagement

It was at Taco Surf in Sunset beach where they first met. She thought he was super cute and he really wanted to call her, but he didn’t get her number. “So if I would have called her, it would have been stalking,” Chris said. So they kept asking their friends about each other. Eventually they texted, but neither had the nerves to pursue anything. (The great love stories always start like this.)
Then Fourth of July weekend came around. Chris was camping in San Clemente with friends. Lori came to join them. Little did she know, she would be meeting his whole family. They spent the day flirting, texting and playing in the water. Chris’ birthday was coming up and what he wanted for his birthday was for Lori to come to Lake Havasu at the end of the month. Of course she said, “Yes.” But before Lori left to go home, Chris told her he wanted to spend more time with her before his birthday. That first date ended up being a very long conversation in front of a Claim Jumper. The restaurant had closed because they had been talking too long!!! No dinner, but instead a first kiss!
Two years later, on that same San Clemente Beach where their fireworks had started, Chris asked Lori to marry him.

Sylvia and Robert-Corona del Mar Engagement

Love at first sight? Not these two! She thought he was a jerk and he doesn’t actually remember that first day. He was working security at the drive in and she was there with family. The second time they met… nothing either. He was the DJ at her family’s party. Then there was another party… nope. Then he got mad, but not with her, with the guy who kept telling him how to do his job. She noticed. She knew he was not having a good day, so she took him a beer and told him it would be okay. Robert thought, “She gets me.” Okay, so at this point you would think that the love story begins, right? Nope. More parties, lots of conversations and then one night Sylvia was resting her hands and head against the speaker when Robert leaned in and kissed her.

The pictures by the palm tree and flowers were just absolutely breath taking. They were meant to be. You captured their love for each other.
