    Coco Palms Wedding-Dana and Curtis

Family flew in from Italy and those that couldn’t watched on the web. Her bridal suite was packed with family including her Italian grandfather and Uncle who proudly documented the events for those back home. Dana smiled at everyone and said, Ciao to her Nonna and Zia. She was happy. Today, she was marrying the man that made her laugh and that she could tease back. Happy tears came and went through the day and those tears affected more than one person watching as she exchanged vows with Curtis. It was close to the end of the night when she told me, “I can’t believe how fast this day has gone. My wedding day is almost over.” It was okay. It was the start of Forever.

The bride’s grandmother and aunt were miles away in Italy, but their hearts were close by.

Coco Palms Wedding- Tayo and Kemi Okusanya

Sometimes love is within our reach and we do not see it…or know it is there. So God makes sure that love travels and follows us waiting for that moment to be known. They both lived in Nigeria…in the same city, but there paths never crossed. They both moved to the United States and lived on opposite sides of the country. She was in Florida and he was in California. A mutual friend insisted, Tayo called Kemi. That first phone call lasted 3 hours! For Kemi it was a magical conversation and she didn’t want it to end. Obviously Tayo didn’t either because he kept calling her back..everyday..sometimes four times a day. They fell in love…and loving each other was effortless. Within a month she was for the first time in Tayo’s arms. Five months later, Kemi moved to California. Tayo asked her to marry him. “God blessed me and hand picked him solely for me…I truly believe that.” Love had crossed a continent, a country…It was all God’s plan.
