Rancho Las Fuentes Wedding: Eric loves Natalie

The church doors opened and Eric smiled as Natalie walked down the aisle escorted by both of her parents. Her beautiful long veil trailed behind her. They blessed themselves, gave each other, “a look,” and then laughed. Before family and friends they vowed to love each other forever. They exited the church and beautiful rays of sun came down as if it were a sign from heaven.

The party was at the beautiful Rancho Las Fuentes. Their Wedding Party began the celebration long before grand entrance! Their first dance was epic. Natalie’s little brother Jesse gave a heartfelt speech about the example Natalie and Eric had given so many in the family by being the first college graduates. Every chance they could, they took more pictures with family and friends and so we took those moments to capture more pictures of them.

Sunset began. The fountain and the sky lit up. Natalie and Eric’s first night as husband and wife had begun.

Grace E. Simmons Lodge Event Photography: Ali and Dan

Where does a love story begin for a couple is celebrating 40 years of marriage? For Ali and Dan, it began at Franklin High School in Los Angeles. He was a football player and she was on Drill Team. It was her birthday and Dan took the opportunity to ask Ali out. Their first date would be at the Santa Monica Pier. Dan knew he had the woman he wanted to marry and so he proposed…three times! Ali finally said yes. On July 2nd, 1983 at St. Ignatious of Loyola Catholic Church, Ali and Dan promised before God, family and friends to love each other forever.

They returned to the church. This time with their children as their wedding party. They commemorated their adventures together in a family celebration that showed everyone the power of love!

St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Wedding: Alejandra and Jorge

I love that I got to capture part of their Wedding Story. In three hours we captured their ceremony, the family portraits and of course pictures of Alejandra and Jorge before they rushed off to their reception.

Los Angeles Wedding Photography: Hector and Erlinda

Erlinda laughed with her maid of honor and cousin as her make up and hair were being done. Signs that her mom and grandma were watching over her kept coming throughout the day. Her mom was being honored in so many ways. Her mom’s wedding picture was there, she had sewn a heart from her wedding dress into hers and when she would lay flowers to Mary, another image of her mom would be there, reminding everyone of the great faith her mom had and had instilled in her.

Hector and Erlinda would be married on the outside patio of the church. A very select number of family and friends would attend. Countless others would be watching the live stream of the event. The wind blew the cascading fabric around the posts. The constantly smiled and laughed throughout their ceremony, but took in all seriousness to love each other forever.

We captured a group photo with all 20 guests, and some with cell phones outreached so families watching from afar could be in a picture with the bride. Hector and Erlinda wanted one picture at least inside the church. I knew every pew would have been filled with family and friends, but they stood at the altar in an empty church. There was a first dance and an emotional toast that truly highlighted their love story.

Since one day is not enough to celebrate, we took another day to calmly shoot their wedding portraits in the mountains.

          Micro Wedding: Tyler and Vannessa

Bella, the luckiest rescued dog in the world happily watched as her favorite human got ready for her wedding day. Vannessa had dressed Bella up in white bows and even put a necklace on her. Bella, throughout the morning, stayed nearby as Vanessa toasted with mom and girls and got dressed.

Downstairs, Vanessa’s father anxiously waited to see his daughter. Seeing her would be worth the wait. His little girl tapped him on the shoulder and he turned to see a beautiful bride. He had said that he would not get emotional, but he quickly wiped a tear away and hugged her.

A few blocks away, Tyler waited for his first look. This was the moment that Vanessa wanted the most from that day. It was to see him. All the nerves ended, once they were in each other’s arms.

It would be a quick drive to the church. There, surrounded by the closest family and friends, Tyler and Vannessa promised to love each other forever.
