    California Botanic Garden: Quinceañera Photography: Sophia

    Sophia’s eyes meet yours, and for a second, you are caught in their beauty, but then you see depths of wisdom and empathy that are not necessarily there in most 15-year-olds. Then she smiles, and you know if she will take on the future with confidence and determination.
    In her mother’s words, “Sophia is gorgeous, witty, intelligent and fearless. She is special because she possesses the insight to give me the wisest advice when I encounter any dilemma. She wants to be a neonatal nurse and I know she will excel because she is very caring with others, especially with children. I still remember the first time I saw her beautiful eyes staring back at me as a newborn. I was overtaken with such immense joy and love that the world stood still for a moment.”

      California Family Photography: Ledesma-Perez

      Izabella and Facundo are cousins. They love being around each other, running…playing. Grandparents wanted one picture of them together to put on the wall next to their daughter’s Wedding Picture. This was the ultimate goal for a Christmas Present. I understood the assignment.
