St. Anthony Baptism: Julie

Julie received the sacrament of her baptism at St. Anthony Church in Upland. Her parents Sonya and Juan picked Milie and Joey as her Ninos. Milie and Sonya have always had a special relationship. Millie is Sonya’s aunt, but they are more like best friends. Sonya knows that Milie has always been there for her and will now always be there for her baby!

St. Andrew’s Church: Pasadena: Baptism Photography: Amelia

Alex and Ariel chose Hazel and Jon to be godparents to their daughter Amalia.

Her Padrinos arrived with a beautiful dress fit for a princess. Amalia played with her shoes, admired her necklace but was not at all happy with the bonnet on her head. She took it off every chance she got.

We took all of her pictures before her baptism. By the time, it was Father’s turn to be in a picture, she was done with her outfit.

        Mia’s Baptism-St. Paul the Apostle

Vanessa and Trini love to break the rules and do things their own way. (Vanessa wore tennis shoes when she got married.) So no surprise that Mia would have be wearing little pink pom pom socks and no shoes with her traditional white baptismal dress. (She looked adorable.) And while the other parents answered that their children had been named after saints and family members, Vanessa proudly answered, “A famous soccer player.”

Trini was asked what, “Amen,” meant. His answer..”Um, thank you?” (It means we believe.)

Mia’s Nino Joe read, “What a God Parent is…”

Vanessa read, “A Mother’s Prayer,” while her husband and daughter looked on.

Mia’s godmother Janina read a reading from the Bible.

Deacon Pat is full of energy, jokes, witty comments and an obvious love of children. His vestment is filled with the children’s names and dates of their baptism.
