California Engagement Photography: Claremont Colleges: Amanda loves Carlos

Between the bustle of dishes clanking, orders being taken, drinks being made, and the laughter of patrons, Amanda and Carlos noticed each other as they worked at TGI Fridays. Each thought the other was cute, but neither made a move.

It would be at Buffalo Wild Wings, when they were hanging out with coworkers, that they finally began to talk, connect, and honestly fall in love. Amanda soon saw that Carlos was thoughtful, funny, and caring.

“He is very thoughtful, if he sees I need help with anything, he doesn’t hesitate to help. He can make me laugh no matter what mood I’m in, and he is super sweet and can put a smile on my face and help me up when I’m feeling down. He is caring and a great dad to our fur babies. I know he is going to make an amazing dad for our future babies.”

Carlos had admired Amanda for a while. She was beautiful, but soon, he saw that she also had a lot of beauty within. Amanda was loving, funny, and dedicated. “She’s very affectionate, so she likes to snuggle up close any chance she gets with me… or the dogs. It doesn’t matter, she just likes being close to those she loves. She’s very funny. It’s never boring being around her. She’s a really hardworking person. She loves to learn new skills. I wish I had that same dedication that she has to try and learn new things. I guess in many ways we are opposites, but in ways that mesh and compliment each other and I love that about her.”

Knowing Amanda loved plants and nature, Carlos took her to an arboretum in Arizona. He had with him a ring that Amanda was destined to have. It was her grandmother’s, and it was a promise that Amanda would wear it when she got engaged. The Arboretum was crowded, but their hike took them to a secluded spot by a creek under big beautiful trees. Amanda was talking to Carlos about the view and staring at the trees when she noticed he was not saying anything. She turned to see him on one knee holding her grandmother’s ring. She did her best to not, “ugly cry,” and said, “Yes!,” to forever with the man she loved.

Pasadena Wedding Photography: New Year’s Eve Wedding: Ramiro loves Justine

They worked together for ten years, admiring each other, but no one admitted their feelings. Then Justina bought a condo and needed someone to trust with the repairs. Ramiro came into her home and her heart.

“He is funny, spontaneous, safe- he’s my everything! Ramiro will keep you laughing all day long. He’s hard working but will surprise you with a spontaneous invitation to go have fun somewhere outside of the daily routine. Regardless of where we go or what we do, I can turn my brain off because I trust that he’ll always keep us safe

Ramiro, a diehard romantic, made an epic proposal. He proposed at sunset on a beach in Mazatlan. Roses, wine, a live banda, and even fireworks were there for the woman he loved.

Their wedding was just as impressive. Pasadena was already filling with guests from around the world for the Rose Parade. Streets were being closed. Floats were receiving their last touches. And there, in the middle of it all, Ramiro and Justine promised to love each other forever. They married on New Year’s Eve in Pasadena under The Colorado State Bridge.

Stacy and Terry’s family tree has grown. Two baby branches have been added. They are grandparents to Reese and Zion. This holiday, they were able to have their family under one roof! The house was full, and so was their heart. Memories had to be captured.

California Family Photography: Chino Hills: R

The first picture they took reminded me of the opening sequence of Young Sheldon. They ended up with a guest in their picture. Two brothers, their mom, and their families always find a unique location, and we create and capture memories. This one had a Western theme: Cows, horses, donkeys, hills, a winding road, and an old water tank complimented by smiles and laughter.

San Francisco 49ers Family Session, Bonelli Park: Ruiz

In the early 90s, Del established himself as a devoted 49ers fan when the team clinched their fifth Super Bowl title. His luck soared even higher when he met Violet, who joined him in passionately cheering for the team. Little did they know that on June 12, 2015, Violet would give birth to an even more dedicated fan, Brooke Ruiz. Brooke proudly represents her team wherever she goes and enjoys playful debates with family members who support rival teams, passionately defending why the Niners are the best. This past summer, Brooke officially became part of the 49ers family by cheering as a member of The Junior Gold Rush Cheerleaders. She had the incredible experience of walking through the Entrance Tunnel at Levi’s Stadium and cheering for her beloved 49ers on the field! The Ruiz family cherishes their Sundays spent supporting their favorite football team. GO NINERS!!!

I have been photographing Brooke since she was a year old. It was only fitting that they chose a Niner theme for her 9th birthday.
