Dale and Jolina met at work almost 30 years ago. They shared many meals and learned about each other. Dale was brave when Jolina was timid. (Yeah… she’s not timid anymore.) He believed in her, when she didn’t. Last October, they celebrated their 26 anniversary. They have three kids, all with amazing unique personalities. Ezrie is the eldest. She likes to plan and organize. (Good job on picking the outfits! High five! ) She is smart, hardworking and tenacious. She’s the big sister that looks out for her family and keeps everyone safe. Camille is brilliant, opinionated and gabby. She’s both fun and exhausting. (Had her in my classroom. Perfect description Mom.) Everyone hates to argue with her. However, get her on your side and she is the perfect advocate as her brother and sister know. Ian is the tall, handsome baby of the family. He’s keen on anything computers, but finds school tiresome and can’t wait to be done with it. He loves and protects his family.

They are beautiful and intelligent with kindness filling their hearts. Vicke is graduating from UCSD with a BS in Human Biology and a minor in Law and Society. Her plans are to become an optometrist. She currently volunteers for an International Health Collective Clinic in Tijuana. One day she hopes to volunteer there as a pediatric optometrist.

Valerie is graduating from CS Arts. Valerie will be going to USC! Future Trojan. She will be studying Environmental Studies and continue dancing! The last time I shot Valerie it was for her Headshots.

I also got to meet Joshua, Potato and Idaho at this session. Two of those are Guinea Pigs and one is Vickie’s boyfriend. When Vickie texted that they had balloons and guineas, I figure it had been a typo. Nope. They were almost as cute as Valerie and Vickie… almost.

Vickie and Valerie were once my students. (Thankfully, that didn’t mess them up that much.) I love that Vickie now uses Spanish to help others and loved hearing her tell me, “It’s crazy where 8th grade Spanish and a love for language can lead you!
