Grace is inquisitive like her mom and creative and inventive like her dad. She is described by her loving parents as a dancer and singer wrapped in sparkle and sequins and a strong-willed independent princess who is full of wonder with a contagious laugh and smile.

You know you have been successful in life when you are surrounded by generations who love you. When she became a grandma, she told her daughter to have her grandchildren call her Mamá Tere, but it became Mom Tere and it stuck. At 83 years old, Mom Tere is a mother, a grandma, a great grandma, a sister, and an aunt who loves and is loved unconditionally. Her family describes her as resilient and a survivor, feisty, a story teller and funny. She is the meaning of dancing and singing out loud, as if no one is watching, all while wearing red lipstick. She will argue when she knows right is right, watches the news like a hawk and if there is danger lurking close by she makes sure her family knows.
She loves fashion, her Telenovas and the Lord. All this while still being optimistic about finding a boyfriend.

Her family celebrated her birthday by taking family pictures with her!

Diana Sparkle Banquet Hall: 7th Birthday Filipino Celebration/ Ruby

Ruby celebrated her 7th Birthday. In the Philippines, the 7th Birthday is a big celebration. It marks the year when the child is leaving her infancy. Even though she is still is a child, she now knows the difference between right and wrong. It is a coming-of-age celebration as a Quinceañera, a Sweet 16, a Bat Mitzvah, or a Debut.

Ruby celebrated her 7 birthday with her family and a few of her friends. Her Godparents helped get her dressed. Ruby had kept her dress a secret from her daddy, so on the day of her celebration, she did a first look with him. He turned around to see her dressed.

At her celebration, she received 7 roses from her cousins and brothers signifying each year of her life. 7 girls and women also gave her candles to blow out. With each candle they gave her, they also wished for her future.

Her grandparents sang to her. She blew out her beautiful unicorn cake and finally, her entire family and all of her friends joined her on the dance floor for a group picture.

Happy Birthday Jesus!/ A Story in Time Photography’s Favorite Assistant

He carries lenses, reflectors, and lights… and the weight of being my husband. He packs the car. Makes sure I have water and he holds on to every ladder I stand on, even when I tell him I’m fine. He is constantly hearing the words, “Stand over there and pretend to be a bride.” He has held crying babies, bouquets and endless wallets, cellular phones and keys that should not show up in pockets. He is the only one on our team that calls me, “Boss,” but only when we are working. And of course, there’s a bit of sarcasm in his voice. He knows we have to take a selfie. He laughs at my jokes and always tell me my pictures are beautiful. I love him. Happy Birthday Jesus!
