Berenice caught Alex’s eye at a party, but they never spoke. They would continue to see each other at other events, but they were only cordial and friendly. Other loves would enter their lives, but Destiny and their friends always knew they would end up together.
Initially, they thought about each other as total opposites, but they soon realized they balanced each other out. Alex’s peacefulness made Berenice feel safe. Their friendship grew into a romance and on a New Year’s Eve at midnight it became official.
Alex proposed in the most beautiful way. Berenice thought she was walking into a family barbecue, but instead, it was an entryway of family and friends holding roses that led to the words, “Will you marry me?” She was stunned. She had caught his eyes at the party, but Alex had caught her heart forever. . She said, “Yes!”
