Music often brings people together. For Albert and Evelyn that music was in band at school. Two young teenagers who would fall in love on a band trip to San Francisco. They even started their own Ska Band. High school would end, the band would break up and Evelyn would move out for college, but love did not stop. Music and love will cross distances. And so a four year long distance relationship would begin.
Fast forward to Valentine’s Day, at a night of Korean BBQ, where Albert proposed and Evelyn said, “Yes.” The distance had ended. The music continues, but now they hear it alongside of Nube, their little Maltese Poodle.
And Ironically, music also interrupted this session. The Rolling Stones themselves reunited and played a few miles away from where we wanted to be. So, after a failed Uber ride and a couple of interactions with security, we walked the streets of Pasadena and took pictures in any nook and cranny we could. Walking alongside Evelyn and Albert, I knew their love was amazing. As long as they had each other, there were no bad notes only a beautiful melody.
