Love can be a game where no one should keep score. But the game where Amanda did keep score was baseball. She was the Stat Girl for the baseball team and Nick was the popular baseball player who played second base. Amanda walked into the dug out and immediately caught Nick’s eye. Amanda was shy and for the first time Nick was shy too. He finally talked to her on the bus…kissed her between the portables…took her to a horror movie (mistake) and gave her a gremlin teddy bear. (Yes, after the horror movie fiasco he gave her a scary teddy bear and she kept him!) Fast forward…teenage years behind them…two adults atop of the Eiffel Tower in Vegas. Nick dropping to one knee and asking Amanda to love him forever. In the game of love the stats read they both had won.
