Sometimes one tries to be something they are not. The very talented Ruben Rodriguez spent an afternoon with me coaching me on studio shooting. A screen was put up, he adjusted the lights and away we shot. It felt wrong…like I was holding my camera upside down or something. I was enclosed, tied down to an artificial light source, yearning to escape…okay this is sounding a bit dramatic. Anyway, the moment I walked outside I saw gorgeous light. I put Alex (my talented and beautiful assistant/model) against the tree and realized that I was very happy being a natural light photographer and I had no desire to be anything else.
Jean MazacBeautiful model, great use of light. These portraits are gorgeous!

KyleWhat a stunning model! And yeah, that natural is kind of gorgeous 🙂
NoraThat’s great that you shoot the way you love and are comfortable with. Often photographers try and change their style or technique just to be like someone else instead of developing their own uniqueness. Nice work!
