Pasadena Engagement Session : Albert loves Evelyn

Music often brings people together. For Albert and Evelyn that music was in band at school. Two young teenagers who would fall in love on a band trip to San Francisco. They even started their own Ska Band. High school would end, the band would break up and Evelyn would move out for college, but love did not stop. Music and love will cross distances. And so a four year long distance relationship would begin.

Fast forward to Valentine’s Day, at a night of Korean BBQ, where Albert proposed and Evelyn said, “Yes.” The distance had ended. The music continues, but now they hear it alongside of Nube, their little Maltese Poodle.

And Ironically, music also interrupted this session. The Rolling Stones themselves reunited and played a few miles away from where we wanted to be. So, after a failed Uber ride and a couple of interactions with security, we walked the streets of Pasadena and took pictures in any nook and cranny we could. Walking alongside Evelyn and Albert, I knew their love was amazing. As long as they had each other, there were no bad notes only a beautiful melody.

Artesia DES Wedding: Pedro and Ashley

Family flew in from Portugal for the very anticipated wedding of Pedro and Ashley. The day was filled with laughter… and of course, a few happy tears. Ashley’s father had promised me he would tear up lots during the day. He did not disappoint. The moment he saw his daughter dressed as a bride, emotion over took him. Ashley pinned his corsage and rushed down for the first look with Pedro. Soon they were surrounded by their family and friends and the party began as the pictures were taken. It seemed no one card that the California heat was over a hundred.

The Artesia DES Portuguese Hall was transformed to a beautiful ceremony site. Pedro and Ashley read their own vows and promised to love each other forever.

Dodger Rally towels were waved as Pedro and Ashley returned. The party never stopped! On a packed dance floor they celebrated their first hours as husband and wife.

Chino Wetlands Maternity Session: Baby Isaac is coming.

Isaac has not been born and he already has an entourage. He will be the first grand baby for his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandma. But he’s coming in fifth place for his paternal grandpa. That’s okay, grandpa is just as crazy for this grandson as the others. Of course both sets of grandparents and his aunt…future Godmother had to be at the maternity session. They all dressed in blue and crowed around Vanessa and Michael, extending their arms and love over him.

Mt. Baldy Engagement Session: Marcos loves Daisy

“I seemed to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times… in life after life, in age after age, forever.” Tagore

It is said that a twin soul will recognize his or her other half in a glance, a moment, or a dream. Daisy remembers looking up and seeing Marcos. He was just a kid walking to Junior High. It was a strange feeling. It left an impact on her memory. She had no reason to feel the way she did. She did not know him or even know about him, but it was as if she recognized someone.

Ten years later, a birthday celebration would bring them together. They met at a mutual friend’s restaurant in East LA. And yet at another 21st birthday, they would meet again… that meeting would lead them to their first date at In n Out.

They soon learned that they had similar struggles in life and the same vision for their future. They became united and learned to grow stronger together. Their trust for each other was unbreakable. She taught him how to express his feelings and he taught her to slow down and to take a step back and to analyze before reacting. They gave each other, comfort, laughter and two beautiful daughters, Eveyln and Abigail.

Destined to be together… twin flames burn brightly as one.
