  • Welcome to the Stories!

I believe that the camera is the best thing ever invented. It captures actual moments, memories, emotions and unites forever the person who took the photo with the person in it. This is why I love it when my clients become my friends.

Coco Palms Wedding- Tayo and Kemi Okusanya

Sometimes love is within our reach and we do not see it…or know it is there. So God makes sure that love travels and follows us waiting for that moment to be known. They both lived in Nigeria…in the same city, but there paths never crossed. They both moved to the United States and lived on opposite sides of the country. She was in Florida and he was in California. A mutual friend insisted, Tayo called Kemi. That first phone call lasted 3 hours! For Kemi it was a magical conversation and she didn’t want it to end. Obviously Tayo didn’t either because he kept calling her back..everyday..sometimes four times a day. They fell in love…and loving each other was effortless. Within a month she was for the first time in Tayo’s arms. Five months later, Kemi moved to California. Tayo asked her to marry him. “God blessed me and hand picked him solely for me…I truly believe that.” Love had crossed a continent, a country…It was all God’s plan.

Clarke Jacobs- Scholarship Photo shoot

Yes…she’s beautiful, but as her mom says, Beauty will fade. If you don’t have a good heart, you have nothing. Clarke Jacobs does. Besides being a talented singer, dancer and actress (yup triple threat), she is also a very high achieving student. Howard University in Washington D.C. is her future. She has been a volunteer for Heart and Soul Community Services and is always ready to return to her former middle school (where I teach) to help the drama program. Turns out… she’s also a model because we shot these pictures at South Pointe in 2 minutes..okay I’m exaggerating.. 2 minutes and 20 seconds.
Yup… you know I’ll be bragging in the future that I took Clarke Jacobs’ Picture.

Eagle Glen Wedding- Sarah and Tim Donnelly

There are people who teach you to love…to love others, love life. And then there are people who you fall in love with. At Sarah and Tim’s Wedding both were there…some in spirit. Sarah had the pictures of their grandparents on her bouquet. There were also nickels. Nickels in the bouquet and nickels on the aisle she walked to join her best friend forever. Because even though you can’t place a price on love, her grandfather always said, “It will cost you a nickel.” (In God We Trust.)

Tivoli Too – Vavakin Wedding

Smiles and Peacock Feathers were the theme of this wedding. Happiness… Laura never stopped smiling. She smiled all the way up the aisle, and through the vows. Ironically it was another smile that started it all- Nic’s. Immediately after they were married, in Tivoli Too tradition, Laura gave the welcome toast and told the story of how everyone always noticed his height but she noticed his smile. They walked into Rocky theme music and yes…he does look like Drago, but just like him… Nic lost and fell… lost his heart and fell in love. He held his bride in his arms and listened to the words of their first song…Hope this feeling lasts the rest of my life.

Los Angeles Arboretum Engagement- Sarah and Miguel

Before there was Facebook there was something called MySpace. Wait..this history lesson gets interesting. Keep reading. Sarah met Miguel online. She was the one that made the first move and sent him request. (Told her dad she met him at church, but that’s another story.) Miguel lived on the other side of the state so there was very little chance she would actually see him. Nothing to fear… except Miguel came down and it was actually Sarah’s dad that gave him a ride to her house. Yes. Miguel met Sarah’s Dad first. Sarah now was rethinking the whole thing. She had met him online and really didn’t know him. “She thought I was going to kill her or something. She wouldn’t even hold my hand,” Miguel told me. She feared me! Miguel got a job downtown. He would work and ride the train to see Sarah, and then go back home that night. The next day he would do it all over again…just to see her and spend time with her. Sarah soon realized that there was nothing to fear…not even love.
