Upland Engagement- Emily and Mike

Mike will travel half way around the world to be with her…If Emily is in Japan, he will go. He will leave his life and job in Santa Barbara and move to Orange County to be with her. Emily knows that this man who loves her is the kindest, funniest and most caring person. Because of him, she is a better person. She loves his sense of humor…but more than anything she loves him.
On April 30th, Emily’s birthday, Mike took her out for Sushi. As they waited for their reservation time, Mike took Emily for a walk on the beach and proposed. Emily began to cry! She cried and forgot to answer his question!!! They rushed back to the restaurant. When they arrived, Mike turned to Emily and said, “Did you say yes?” Emily answered, “Oh yeah… YES!”

Claremont Colleges Engagement-Serena and Moses

Serena was a junior in high school. Moses was a senior. Yes! He was the older man and Serena had her eyes on him, but Moses didn’t see to notice…or at least he acted that way. Then one day in student counsel class, Serena sat next to him and came right out and asked him why he had never talked to her or even said, “Hello.” His response was…. “Well you never talk to me or say hello to me either!” Perhaps Serena should have learned that Moses never asked anything until the perfect time. Fast forward past high school drama, being apart in college, having two beautiful sons. Fast forward to a birthday party with friends and family where Moses asked Serena to be his wife. It was always what he had wanted…To give Serena a beautiful ring and an amazing wedding. September 15th can’t come fast enough.

Crystal’s Elegant Affairs- Wedding Planning and Coordination

A beautiful wedding is not something that easily comes together. There are details that must be put in to place, vendors that need to be informed and kept on a timeline, family members with special needs, last minute emergencies…etc. Crystal makes sure that a bride’s wedding day is as flawless and smooth as any Elegant Affair.

Crystal is an excellent wedding coordinator who truly cares about her clients and their special day. She ensures that every detail is put into place. She works along side the bride to put together a time line and to tie in all of the details. She also works closely with all of the vendors the day of the wedding. She over sees setup and the events, as well as be on site at the reception to make sure the events go off without a hitch ensuring that one of the most memorable days of a couple’s lives- their wedding- is an amazing day.

I had the opportunity to document Crystal during a wedding. Please note that I was not the wedding photographer for this event.

Ensuring that the layout is exactly the way the bride wanted it….Greeting the Pastor and going over specifics of the ceremony.Talking with the DJ… Music for the Ceremony, names for the Grand Entrance…Making sure everyone knows where to go…Cuing everyone as they go down the aisle. Last minute reminders to smile and of course… fixing the bride’s dress. One last peek as the bride makes her way down the aisle…While the Ceremony occurs a wedding coordinator continues to work. In this venue, tables were going to be moved into the ceremony site during Cocktail hour.
There are a list of family members who need to be at in the Family Pictures.
It is the smallest details that make a bride happy and comfortable…Crystal went to find the bride after her pictures ensuring that the timeline went on schedule. Making sure everyone is ready for the Grand Entrance.

University of Redlands Engagement- Billy and Mayra

They knew each other as little kids. Childhood friends. Billy would come over and play with Mayra’s little brother. Time passed. They grew up. The games ended and Billy moved away. Love always seems to know the right time to show up. Mayra’s brother ran into Billy and once again he was in their lives, but this time he was also in Mayra’s heart. Billy could not take his eyes of her. No one was playing games and this was not a childhood crush. Billy proposed on Valentine’s Day holding 2 bouquets of flowers. “Mayra, I can’t live without you.” That little boy had become the man she would love forever.

Trilogy Golf Club at Glen Ivy Engagement- Tara and Nicholas

Tara was a circus performer. The trapeze suddenly broke and she fell into Nicholas’ lap who was sitting in the audience. Yes! They told me this story when I asked them how they met. The true story still involves falling. Tara played hockey. She took ice skating lessons from Nicholas’ dad. He wanted Tara on his hockey team. Tara fell… fell in love with his son and Nicholas took her in his arms.
On Thanksgiving, Nicholas dressed Ryder and himself in matching sweaters. Tara walked down the stairs to find Nicholas on one knee and Ryder saying, “Mommy will you marry my daddy?” Tara answered a muffled half sob, “Yes!”

These pictures were taken on the grounds of Trilogy Golf Club in Corona, California…. Beautiful waterfalls, a picturesque creek and views with an incredibly helpful staff.
