Oak Glen Engagement: Caesar loves Irma

If Green Acres were real… this would be the Love Story.

It was Caesar’s birthday and the wish he did not even know he had made, was about to come true. Irma crashed his party and broke into his heart. She had tagged along with her cousin. The city girl in her never expected to fall in love with an attractive cowboy, but it happened.

Soon she was going with him to buy more drinks for the party. Caesar loved the way the pretty girl talked. He made up his mind right then that he would win her heart. He had no clue, he was already half way there.

Their first date would be at BJ’s Brewery for what would be their favorite meal… Pizza and beer.

Irma fell in love with his determination to always be better, his hardworking attitude and of course… his beard. Caesar loved that even though she was so pretty, she was real, educated, intelligent and patient. She was the woman he wanted to grow old with.

It would be on a hike at Claremont Loop, where the trees come together to form an arch, where Caesar would ask Irma to marry him. She was in shock, but of course said yes. She had found a man who supported her career and loved her. He wanted to take care of her. Both had found true love.

Pasadena Engagement: Ray loves Aramis

Three is number of the divine. Three is the first number that forms a geometrical shape… the triangle. Three has been considered the number of harmony, wisdom and understanding. Three is the number of time… past, present and future. It is Beginning, Middle and End. We are given three wishes and of course, the third time is a charm.

Three.. three seconds. That’s how long it took for Ray to fall in love with Aramis. Three would become their favorite number. They had met online and talked three months before they met… of course in March, the third month of the year.

Ray was a truck driver so they met in the parking lot at 24hr Fitness so he could park his big rig. (Between the number 2 and 4 is 3!) Aramis got out of the car and played it cool, but Ray kept the biggest smile on his face the whole time. Their first meeting would last 15 minutes, but Ray knew he wanted Aramis for a life time. On the way home, he called her and told her. “I’m not going anywhere. You will be my wife one day.”

Now on their third year together, they are getting married!

Anniversary Session: Erik and Helen

“That smile is what makes the journey worth while.”

Erik knew the moment he saw her that she was the one. She was cousins with his best friend Matt. So while everyone else enjoyed Grandma’s birthday party, Erik thought of the pretty girl who had smiled and said, “Hi.” It would be two years before their paths would cross again.

The American Sign Language Class was filled and Erik was leaving at break when Helen approached him saying, “Hey! You’re Matt’s friend.” Eric smiled and said, “Hey! You’re Helen!” Helen was startled that he remembered her name. She did not remember his. They caught up real quick and once again said, “Good bye.” They would see each other various times at Deaf events but not talk…sign or otherwise. Finally, Erik got up the nerve and their conversation went a lot farther than, “Hey!” They talked for hours as if it were the most comfortable thing to do. It was Helen who asked him if he was free for lunch. Erik did not want the day to end so he invited Helen to dinner that same night.

Helen was smitten and soon realized after a few months, he was the one. He put her first, defended her and made her laugh. He was her partner in crime. Erik had long ago fallen in love with her.

On his birthday, Erik asked for his wish to come true. He took Helen to a Tutti Mangia in Claremont. She was surprised to see that they a reservation and that their families were there. Before she could piece anything together, the pianist played, “Just the two of us.” Erik asked Helen to dance. Helen knew something was not right. Erik never danced and he was shaking. Helen’s mother yelled out, “Let me get a picture!” Helen turned to pose, but Erik did not. Helen turned to see him kneeling with a ring. Helen made his wish come true and said, “Yes.

Helen and Erik were married a year ago. At their first get away in San Diego, in the San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside, they were at the gift shop. The elderly lady at the register was making conversation and said, “That smile is what makes the journey worthwhile.” Helen gushed at her and Erik said, “Yes Ma’am.” It was a moment that impacted them so much that it became their saying. Every hardship, every joy, every obstacle, everything, at the end of it all, it makes the journey worthwhile.

Oak Glen Engagement: Pedro loves Ashley

The pretty girl with the beautiful smile in class had caught his eye. If Pedro was waiting for the right time to talk her, it came early. Their Humanities professor put them in the same group. After class, Pedro approached her to ask her out. Before he could say anything, Ashley stuttered, “Do you want to borrow my book?” In the end, Ashley agreed to go out with him, but strangely, they never exchanged numbers. As luck would have it, the day that they planned on going out after class, Ashley was late. To make matters worse, class was cancelled. Pedro waited. Left. Ashley showed up, not to find him. If this is the usual scene for every other romantic story where two star crossed lovers can not meet, what happened at the next class was far from it. Ashley came to class and said hello to Pedro as if nothing had happened. Pedro passed her a note that said, “Why did you ditch me as*#%le?” Ashley read the note and gasped in shock and said, “I’m not an as*#%le.” They stared, smiled at each other and laughed. They would always make each other smile and laugh. They left class that day together and together they would remain.

Motorcycle Engagement: José loves Alejandra

They knew of each other, but their paths had not crossed. So José slipped into her DM on Instagram. Alejandra didn’t trust him enough to meet him at her house, so their first meeting would be in parking lot. It didn’t take long for them to be on their way to Moon Shadows in Malibu for dinner. And if Alejandra had been hesitant of accepting a first date, she wasn’t about giving him the first kiss. José loved her because she was gorgeous and loyal. But she was also the girl who he could laugh and joke with. Alejandra loved his character. He was sweet and she loved his attention to detail. José knew no other girl would hold his heart or sit on his motorcycle. In the same restaurant as their first date, Jose proposed to the woman he loved. Alejandra said, “Yes,” to forever.
